(realised that i posted wrongly, so i'm correcting it now) today we hav our appg lesson on topic 6: methods. methods is something like functions(the one we learnt in COMPRO) but then i think i've return everything to my teacher already because i totally don't know what the chapter is driving at. =.="
my dad sent me an email today~ he congratulates me for passing the mid-point of my trip. well, i really wanted to tell him that actually(for no reason) i didn't miss home. (i had my fears the week before i came, but i realised, once i stepped onto the airplane. there was no feeling of sadness or whatever) been feeling that way for quite a few times before i come to Chengdu and i thought it was ok. i think this time when i get back to Singapore, i'll do something about it. really. sometimes, i do reflect and think, "where has my emotions go? Have i become a person with no feelings?" i need to talk to my dad. at least he might be able to tell me what i am supposed to do... since he had gone through so many things before. probably, i'm just like him when he's of a younger age. i still remember my mum talking to me abt autism because i always seem to be doing things alone and talk to objects(like my hamster) more than ppl. (now i'm actually checking what kind of autism i'm actually falling into.. silly me. - but i did find sth called 'Asperger syndrome' (sth like autism, but with normal language development) oh, there is? ... ... wait a minute, when did i hav autism?! ) i need my dad!!!!~~

Day 20 & 21 - trial lab test and lab test
stress..stress..stress..stress..stress.. i was so nervous about the lab test... even though we had a trial lab test on monday... but still, i've got no confidence because to me, it's so hard!!! the trial lab test was so much simpler than our lab test!! >< because i had so much trouble trying to figure out what's wrong with my program... it was almost done you know!! just that last part... i was crazy... because i edited my whole last part of the program... i don't have so much confidence getting those marks... TT what can i do? its over..
Day 19 - kite flying!!
it's a sunday and we are flying kites in Chengdu!!! this was awesome because i had always loved flying kites because i liked to see them fly high in the sky~~ in my group was akila, andy and me. we tried flying our kite but it just keep dropping down.. D; but it was fun trying to get the kite up! it was really sunny that day, so when we are trying to get the kite up, i couldn't really see because the sun was too glaring!!! by the way, we gave us water and you know what, we don't even know that is for us to drink or to paint our kites.. funny right? because we only realised that we have to paint our kites after we drank the water.. :P it was so fun today!!!
Day18 - City Tour again!!!
woke up early in the morning again... *yawn~ going to shop is what i consider a chore* haiis, i need to buy so many things!!! shoes and clothes... (i've got no idea why things must be so troublesome... but i feel that i need to get some stuff before i go back to Singapore... ah, just remembered: i need to remind myself to buy those duty-free chocolates from Changi airport before i forget.. yup, i hav to remember.. oh ya... the rice.. nvm, i'll think abt it later. :D - see i'm always distracted by my own thoughts..) ok, where was i... alright, abt the city tour..
went back to the same city area and still, i'm really amazed by how different it was from my imagination... had MacDonalds for breakfast-cum-lunch.. realised how different that food can be different/can vary from place to place even though they hav the same "brand". but i think it's still ok.. and i just confirmed with myself abt what i've learnt in secondary school.. that MacDonalds is really sort of an icon internationally because almost in every country, there will be MacDonalds.. its amazing to me how it has become a common "trademark"(or what do you call it? i mean if something is very common, and a lot of ppl know abt it)
then we went shopping... i bought a watch, a T-shirt, a long-sleeve, 2 pairs of shoes, a panda puppet(that's for my brother, i think he has not played with puppets before... he's only P2 :)) the rest don't believe that i bought things..(hahaahs...) qinfang asked me that since i don't enjoy shopping, what do i like? eheheh, i told her that i myself don't even know so... some of them laughed..
kept shopping with Huanmin and a few of the girls... and in the end all of us met and had dinner together... met the rest and had a good laugh as akila and siwen went to perm their hair and yet, akila's hair just looked neater?! lol!! we thought she rebonded her hair but she insisted that she permed her hair... goodness!! that was super funny~~ I HAD A LONG DAY TODAY!!!(by the way, the bus driver was late again!!>< but it's ok cos all of us just wan to rest on the bus..)

Day 17 - Negotiation! >< + QinFang's birthday!! ^^
had our lesson on negotiation and was prepared to give QinFang her birthday surprise... but we were SO surprised to know that the teacher actually arranged a negotiation session between our student and the student from UESTC!! ('this is bad.D:' - i thought) but following our plan, we did the first part first. From the morning onwards, all of the girls will not say 'Happy Birthday' to her or mention anything abt her birthday. because we were released early, we went to have our lunch and played pool(we distract her from part of us, who went to collect the birthday cake and prepare the stuff in the room before she goes back to the dorm). while distracting her, we brought her to the supermarket to buy stuff, and all of us were acting so natural even when we reached the dorm. when she opened the door, everyone shouted 'happy birthday' to her... she was so shocked and most likely, touched!(because for some time she didn't talk) did our special performance for qinfang and we asked her if she was disappointed when we didn't wish her happy birthday. she said she was a bit disappointed but she was shocked when she sees her surprise birthday party... (even though it was "just" a cake, a card, and many blessings from all of us... we can all see that this is one of the birthdays which she will remember for a very very long time.)
had dinner but we rushed through our dinner because we were going to be late for the negotiation session.. went to the "hall" and wow! all the China students were already seated and discussing about the whole matter..
so, the negotiation is between us(as a mining company) and them(as a town). we are supposed to follow some guidelines provided and earn as much points as possible. My team had a very long negotiation with the other and in the end, we found out actually they misunderstood us. (that is like - "...what!!!") because we kept insisting on the middle options, so at least we are not losing as much points.(however, we were wrong! the other team thought that we are insisting on it because it has the most points! so they keep giving us the options which are of no value to us.(actually, i was quite dissapointed and angry because they are making life so difficult for us while gaining so much points themselves. =.=") luckily, even though we didn't win, we still shook hands and exchange email addresses so we can continue with this special friendship made through this session. because the other team won one of the prizes, they offered it to us but we declined even though they say that it is a custom/tradition for them to give gifts to guests/friends who they meet for the first time. (hmm, although it is not the first time i heard abt this tradition, but it will be awkward if we accept the gifts as it might just show that we are kind of desperate to have the prize even though it might seem rude to decline. i think that this could at least make things better and easier for everyone.)
we went back to our dorms and started distracting qinfang again!! heheheh, this is part 2!!! we(frm my dorm) went to wash clothes with qinfang and eileen while the rest went to form "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" outside at the garden of our dorm... when the time is right(we lured qinfang up to our group leader's dorm - because it's around the top there, so the view of the words will be better, etc...) the rest of us ran to the garden(it's amazing dark but it helps to show the words even better) and the rest, including her guy friends were there.. when she looked out of the balcony... there we are!!! we sang "happy birthday" to her from the garden and our singing echoed from the buildings surrounding us.. they came down and we took photos together... before we went back and wash our clothes..(hahahahs, yes.. we left our clothes washing in the washing machine while giving her the surprise.. :D) this is one of the awesome nights in chengdu!!!!

Day 16 - time to do our TT1
ugh, hav to wake up earlier to read the lecture notes... but because i studied very hard the previous night, i decided to wake up later... but it was very funny(and amazing) to see the rest wake up so early... because i am the one who wake up the earliest in the room...
went for the test and phew, it was ok... so after lunch, we went to play pool... it was fun... was late for class(wanna say sorry) because the teachers always seemed to wait for us..,. we should be nicer to them... oh well...

Day 15 - STUDY + POOL
we tried studying for long hours today for the APPG TT1.. but most of the time, the rest just fall asleep after studying a while... i took short naps in between and continued studying again.. APPG seems to be quite exhausting for our minds...
after we went to have our dinner, we went to the shop upstairs and played pool... it has been a long time since i played... the rest taught me and i can play~~ i was very happy... we played for an hour and skipped washing our clothes... we went back and studied for the APPG for a long time... so tired!!!

Day 14 - APPG!!! (so much to study *sobs*)
we were quite surprised that huanmin's table is really neater... she said she wiped it for a few times and we can see that she kept away all the unneccesary stuff.. ( good job! huanmin!) we see that she's really happy abt it too. :D studied hard in class toay because our first theory test will be on Thursday... planned to study for the whole day tmr + wash clothes...
Day 13 - [untitled]
its monday again~ *yawn* mondays always seem to come so fast...
went for my APPG classes... tried my best listening in class today! :3 yup, i finally understood the lesson~ (i do think that i learn better in practical classes though...)
before we went for dinner, we went to discuss(secretly) about QinFang's birthday which is coming on Friday... we decided on a lot of things~ then we went over to the other dorm and wow... everything was super messy!!! (too messy, esp when you compare theirs to our dorm) we complained and tell them to clean their room.. when Huanmin came back(because she went to get sth, so we were all waiting for her in their room), we tell repeatedly to clean her area esp her table... XD her stuff was everywhere... socks, tidbits, etc... i tell you, their room was really messy. so at night, she said on facebook that she's proud of herself..(because she really made a huge effort to clean her table~ i am willing to give her a thumbs-up for that :D) then she tagged us to go to her room and check out her clean table... but we were busy then, so we nvr go then she said she was upset because we complained on her table when she's away then now we don't want to see.. we told me that we will go to her room and see tmr...(hopefully, its still clean) oh well...

day 12 - Ice-breaking with UESTC students + group dinner
woke up so late today! 9.30am+... but still, i woke up the earliest... :P we are still aching and tired after yesterday's mountain climbing and walk... well, that was my first time climbing a mountain after all... (still feeling so contented because i've never thought that i would finish it as i would normally give up because i know i would give lots of excuses not to do something. for example, i am quite afraid of heights; i don't have the strength to; etc. but i have chosen another path this time. i continued walking and climbing the stairs... i was quite happy with myself for accomplishing this task which i sort of gave myself to complete (as i walk the stairs, i told myself to finish it) :D even though my legs doesn't hurt yesterday(other than the knees), it hurts so much today!!! ><
so, our students had a great ice-breaking session with the local students! you know what, actually they are very nice people. (other than the game playing part, cos everyone's so rough during the game... actually, i wanted to join but i don't know how to voice out... i really wanted to join!) it was their first time playing captain's ball, i think. they used a lot of stuff as a substitution for the netball... like sweets, biscuits, man tou(buns with no fillings), panda hats, masking tape roll, and newspaper balls. amazing right? even i think so too. :D because it was raining already, so we exchanged gifts with the students and took a few group photos before we left. i exchanged my gift with a calligraphy brush!!!~:D ah... but, i don't have any of their calligraphy ink... that's sad D: nvm! i'll go buy... but then, the brush is huge! how and what am i supposed to write with that? anyway, i still like the brush~ Huan min thought she lost her camera lid... made everyone anxious but in the end, we found that it's in her jacket's pocket. =.=" oh well...
10 of us(girls) went to have dinner together... then we realised, it's cheaper to eat with a huge group! D:
having such a long chat with my sister... gonna sleep early today...

Day 11 - Dujiangyan + mount qingcheng
we went to dujiangyan today!! woke up so early.. =.=" so sleepy... planned to sleep on the bus but... why do the drivers(including our bus driver) have to honk and jerk their vehicles? so can't sleep (T^T)~
so we reached dujiangyan... walked around and cross the shaky bridges.. (headache~~~) because it's so shaky, i was having a lot of trouble crossing the bridge.. but you know what? the weather is getting warmer! :D so happy... after crossing to the other side, some of the girls said that i looked pale and told me to drink water... then i went to buy their peach ice-cream... yummy~ but holding an ice-cream while crossing a hanging bridge, was no joke... >< bought some longxu su so i can bring back to singapore... it looked delicious..
We went to have lunch and 11 girls squeezed together to a table( for 9 ) in order to eat together... <3 so sweet~(even though it's a bit squeezy..) some of them went to the toilet, but came out quickly.. because the toilet has no door. serious!!! ><
after that, we went to mount qingcheng... while climbing the mountain, we were sweating and removing our clothes because it was really getting warmer and warmer... i made up my mind and climbed all the way to the "top" where it is the end because that it the furthest we are allowed to go... i couldn't believe it!! i made it to the "top"! had a good sense of accomplishment.. :D but it was so exhausting! i have never climbed so many stairs in my life before... (X^X) but to tell the truth, i thought i was dying because whenever you look forward, there will be a lot of stairs waiting for you... and one thing, because i am a christian, i do feel awkward going to the temple and seeing ppl praying, etc... but i do know that one of my purposes here, is not critising other ppl's religion and faith but to respect them. and ppl there can really smoke. i mean when one is climbing a mountain, who wants to see, and smell smoke? besides, climbing mountains is supposed to make us healthy, but now, i don't really agree.. because i can't breathe in the pure nice clean air! evrywhere, ppl smoke... i was really irritated. (i'm sorry that i make critisms like this but i was really annoyed.) going up was a challenge, but going down was another challenge for me because of my fear of heights... luckily, one of our teachers in charge, Mr Teo was there. So he lent me his shoulder for support so i wouldn't fall. after that, i went down by myself, step by step. that's why i was happy about myself.. i am doing things that i can never imagine myself accomplishing by myself. because i know that i am the kind of people who gives up easily. so easily that i could just make excuses just to make myself feel that giving up is not a bad thing. but it's wrong, at least that's what ppl have been scolding me abt. i realised, it doesn't matter if i do things slower than others, it's better than giving up or not doing. i will give myself more encouragement!!!
So, after all these, we were all so tired that we slept on the bus and don't even feel like getting down the bus. :D so tired!!! (will sleep early)
so we reached dujiangyan... walked around and cross the shaky bridges..

Day 10 - Sunjiangxiaoqu + lessons
we had lessons today~~ it always feels so tiring and sleepy after class... *yawns* we planned to go to sunjiangxiaoqu to buy ziya's guitar since she has been talking abt it since the pre-trip briefing at school. we walked and walked.. till we reached an area where there are shops, but then eheheh, it's the wrong one! we only realised it when we kept walking and well, most of the shops are closed and/or empty. so we asked for directions and realised that it's a long way to go... crossed the road but i slipped and fell(and slided) because i didn't realised that the step was quite high. =.=" i thought i was flying~ i slided on my stomach(belly)... and well, luckily i wore lots and clothes that day. ^^ so i was not injured but everyone was asking whether i was ok.. ( i was really ok. :D & know what, it's all because i'm used to falling and hurting myself, etc... - i am a very clumsy person :P) we walked for a long long long time along a very dusty road to the sunjiangxiaoqu. we realised that there are many broken houses and yet, one wrote: "for rent". we were shocked because it actually looked quite spooky.. there are so many obstructions on the road that we have to cross... so troublesome.. when we almost reached, we saw that we could have walked from another gate from the school!!!!! >< in that way, it will be easier and shorter!!! we were so frustrated with ourselves... but then we realised, the campus was really huge!!! we walked around and found some street food sellers ans a lot of shops... (i really regretted not taking this route before that... because we were exhausted after the walk. and i think the weather is getting warmer) but in the end, we couldn't find any guitar shops but we see that there are sets of fitness(playground) things along some parts of the streets. we saw two little boys hitting a rooster... i think they thought they are playing but, that's so cruel! i thought the rooster fainted cos it was lying on the ground... but luckily, it moved... but then one of the little boys sat on it!!! >< then he really used a pair of chopsticks to poke the rooster hard... i couldn't bear to see the rest but i just kept mumbling, "the rooster is dying... the rooster is dying... the rooster is dying... the rooster is dying... the rooster is dying... ..." how can little kids be so cruel to animals?! i cannot understand.
we slowly walked back to school and walked pass a local primary school. we were back in school through the other gate, we saw the office! ITS HUGE!!!! its so pretty there that we took quite a lot of photos over there... had dinner.....

Day 9 - lessons & electricity cut off & commotion
had lessons today... before we go back to class after lunch, we decided to go back to our dorm to rest... but, there was a huge commotion outside the girls accomodation!!! because of an event held at the school, a girl wrote (for her wish) that she wished that on 11 March, during 12.20 to 12.50, a guy to shout her name... and she will be at a side observing... if the guy meets her requirements, she might consider going out with the guy. so everyone crowded around to see and/or participate... even though they are not even sure whether if this person even exists.. hahahs, we dun even hav such things in Singapore... oh well, at least commotions normally happens when there's a great Singapore sale or sth.
continued with lessons and QinFang wasn't feeling well, but she got better after vomiting for a while. We went back and was surprised to see that there wasn't any electricity... our electricity got cut off!!! that was so sad... we paid for the electricity and it came back... so we decided to save electricty after that... But then our room uses electricity the fastest.. >< got to save electricity!!!!!

Day 8 - toilet bowl choke+ clean up
had nothing to do (almost) to do today other than the APPG lab... the rest went to play basketball... (i think i'll join next time)
hey, the sun is coming out!! so i think it's actually getting warmer.. still cold, but getting a bit warmer.. since there was nothing much to do, we clean up the place... but something funny happened... the toilet bowl choked and it was flooding... you know why it choked? because we dropped a air refreshener cap down the toilet... i think everything just choke down there... so when we washed the toilet and the floor, it was flooding!! we nvr experience these kind of stuff before, so it was quite funny...
heheh, but now... our room and toilet and the floor is the cleanest.. ^^ nice~~~ we liked it clean... :D

Day 7 - WEEK-SARY
It has been a week... so my dad sent me an email congratulating me, having made through my first week in Chengdu... (so sweet~) actually, my parents have been sending me some emails for the past few days and sometimes, i would chat with my younger sister through msn... sometimes, my parents would come and take a look at me while we are chatting.. my sister told me, "If I tell you mummy is crying, will you believe me?" well, of course i believed.. because i know that my parent aren't people of words, or simply show or tell me that they miss me, but i know they do. It is weird for me, because initially, i thought things would be difficult but "amazingly(because i don't know if this is good or bad)", i don't have any homesickness or cry every now and then... at first, i was worried that i can't take good care of myself since my parents are not anywhere near me. Then i was worried about my parents' health, since both my parents have always been in a poor condition.. i know what i was thinking... skip this whole thing and just stay by their side, at least when they need me, i'll be there.. i tried getting my younger brother and sister to do this before i left, but i failed(kind of). i told my sister to help my parent wash dishes, clean the house, don't talk back, etc... (which i were supposed to do) but she (kind of) demanded why she have to do all these while i get to go overseas when she wasn't allowed to go when her school had a literature and a geography trip overseas last time.. you know what, i was really speechless. i thought to myself, "so she's thinking that i will always be there to do all these?" really, i gave up. for my younger brother... i just hoped that he will treat my parents better and not making things difficult for my parents.. now, even though i'm not sure if my sister helped out with the chores and about my brother, i held this little hope that things will be better when i get back in april. My family prayed for me and well, they told me things are well. (oh well :o) i wondered if they feel a lot of difference because i was always(almost) there... i still remember that on that day when my parents and I took a cab to Changi airport, i think my parents were about to cry but we held back our tears. i didn't had a chance to say goodbye to my siblings D: i hope i'll have a chance to say, "I'M BACK!" to them when i get back... they told me to take a cab back home(seriously...) and even though i pleaded, they say they will reconsider..(*oh come on~~*) because they siblings still have to go to school the next day.. i think they will come... cos i wrote a letter and told them to come to the airport and fetch me... I placed it on my study table (will they even go there? ah... nvm) well, hopefully..
(anyway, coming back...) since it has been a week(we called it week-sary), the four of us(dorm-mates) went to eat fried fish for dinner. It's quite nice, except it's too oily...(it like putting deep-fried fish in oil) and they said it's non-spicy... but still... it's hot and spicy and salty!!
And by the way, we did taijiquan for our is-module today... the man in the video was too fast! (heheheheh, i did taijiquan when i was young, but it was kind of a forced thing by my parents...)

Day 6 - APPG
8th March 2010, Monday
It’s so cold today!! (& our clothes are drying~) Had a good sleep last night… finally… but the rest had trouble sleeping because they slept too much on Sunday… hahahs~ [spent a lot of time thinking about what to write for the journal… and listening to music.] going to read the books I brought!!! The APPG lesson is very interesting… I’ve learnt a lot of interesting things today especially during the lab… but APPG is so different from COMPRO! I will study harder!! I had quite some trouble understanding the first chapter! Anyway, Gambadesu!!
MISSION : I will study hard and play hard too! :D (I will find ways to study by myself… :D)

Day 5 - CLEAN UP DAY
I let the rest of my dorm mates to sleep until 10am+ or probably near 11am… I woke up early but really, I’ve got nothing to do but warm myself up… it’s too cold!! The rest stayed in bed almost the whole day but we did clean up the place including washing our own clothes… I’ve learnt how to use the older version of washing machine! (nice~) for dinner, we went to look for food (fried rice) and wow! We found them! We shared two plates of fried rice and a huge bowl of seaweed soup… we calculated and found out it is only approximately 1 S$ to pay for each of us… nice right? We went stocking up food after that~ By the way, we bought strawberries on Thursday… but when I looked at it today… it is decomposing! Actually, it has watery parts and some white parts. But it has got a nice fragrance actually… :D
MISSION : Clean Up the dorm! Wash Clothes By ourselves!

Day 4 - SHOPPING @ CHENGDU CITY
Okay, it is also another surprise for me (at least)… it’s so modern and huge! We walked and walked(shopped and shopped... from morning to night)… The rest bought a lot of stuff... probably, except me. you know what, I confirmed one important thing: I REALLY HATE SHOPPING AND I AM NOT MADE TO SHOP. I felt that shopping is so tiring and kind of unnecessary for me… but at least, I think I can walk off the weight I’ve gained in these few days… we ate pizza buffet for dinner! it is based on a healthy plan thing... so their customers will eat a full and healthy meal..(i liked this plan) We took lots of food!!!! yummy... There are rice, spagetti, etc... lots!!~ We realised that there's actually a fine for people who have a lot of leftovers... so we stuff ourselves until we were really bloated.. >< we are on time when we are to come back, but the bus was late!!! >< we sat against a wall and people looked at us as if we were weird… oh well… then a group of guys came back and they wore panda hats and paws! :3 so cute!!! I mean those hats and “paws” (we can’t call them gloves because the fingers can’t move…) were cute. It was sure super tiring after a day of walking… (it was from morning, all the way to night!!) Ah, I just recalled that on our way here, there are so many huge patches of yellow flowers! So pretty~ :D going to have a good sleep! (I’m so tired)
MISSION : HAVE TO WASH HAIR TODAY!!! its so oily that it looks wet!

Day 3 - IS MODULE and RELAXING TIME!!
We had a very enriching IS module lesson with the teacher from the school… we learnt about the cultural and things like that about Chengdu. My favourite is the last part where the teacher uses the drawing of an old man as the ending… I can still draw the old man! I am starting to feel that I’m going to have a higher curiosity about other cultures and countries… After that, we relaxed for the rest of the day~ woots~~
MISSION : I will have a higher curiosity about other cultures and countries. (Increase Cultural Quotient!!)

Week 1 Day 2 - Welcome Meeting; APPG; Town visit!
4th March 2010, Thursday
It seemed like its the coldest today! But we had a very nice, warm welcome meeting from the people from UESTC… I was shocked that some of them can really speak fluent (and fast) English! (Before that they even promised to give us one more blanket each, how nice and sweet of them!) :D
After lunch, we went for APPG lesson… it was fast as it was sort of a recap of what we did in COMPRO. It was such a long, long time ever since I’ve seen a teacher used a blackboard to teach! (The last time i saw a blackboard was when i was primary 1.) Actually, i got this feeling that the teacher quite uncomfortable using a blackboard. :P (oh well..)
At evening or somewhere earlier, we took a public bus to town with our group leaders… It was so crowded! The bus driver can just drive away even before we could make our way out of the bus. >< if it’s in Singapore, I know what we’ll do… complain!!! But we’re in china, so we’ve got no choice… we ate steamboat for dinner!(the spicy and non-spicy one) we went buying some stuff before coming back in a local cab.. nice day!! :D
MISSION : The bus services are really bad here, but we can’t complain!!! So we have to learn to be open-minded.

Week 1 Day 1 - ARRIVAL @ CHENGDU
3th March 2010, Wednesday
The parting with my family and friends was still alright… (I still can’t believe that I’m going to leave Singapore. But the sweet thought of my parents and friends at the airport makes me happy and warm~ And at the airport, so many people took pictures of us like we are stars! *nice!* :D)
But the flight was still tolerable… I have to move out of my comfort zone to become a stronger person with faith! Because I didn’t talk for almost throughout the whole flight, I thought, maybe I should change this habit and well, just be open and comfortable with strangers…
Once we reach the Chengdu airport, it was as cold as someone left the aircon running at 16°C… SO COLD! Before checking out, our queue got cut by other Singaporean! >< we were quite unhappy about that… But I liked the Chengdu airport actually… It’s plain and cooling. When we walked out, there are a few people waiting for us (holding ‘Welcome Ngee Ann Polytechnic’)!
We were then brought to UESTC and into our dorms… By the way, the campus is huge and beautiful (and misty)! I liked it so much! But I don’t like the cold though… the wind felt as though it can pierce through our bones! D:
we went into our dorms and wow! It’s so clean and new! One more thing, it’s totally different from what we expect! However(or luckily), i was warned that the toilets are mostly of the squat type. So when we go to the toilet, we were like, "okay...~". We went to have our dinner at the canteen and i got a shock again. There were only chopsticks!! *Where are my fork and spoons~~ T^T* And the taste of their food was really different from ours. Theirs are stronger in taste but i do think that this is because of the cold weather here that makes them want to eat something of a stronger taste. We walked to the supermarket and stocked up our room with the daily neccesities like hangers and food.
And at night, the electricity cuts off at 11pm… NOoooo!!! >< we were all desperate for electricity… So at night, it’s cold and dark… so hard to sleep… Well, I think I need to build a higher tolerance for discomfort… Because the temperature is seriously different from ours in Singapore! It’s so cold here at Chengdu… or maybe ‘freezing’ is a better word to use especially when we are talking about at night…
MISSION : I will learn to have a better comfort level with strangers and a higher tolerance for discomfort.
